Manager’s objective setting process
In order to set your objectives and supervise your employees in setting their own objectives you need to perform 5 easy steps. We will give you an overview of these steps here and then we will discuss each one in details in the following lessons.

- Step 1: Finish the objective setting for self
As an employee: you will set your own objectives.
- Step 2: Share objectives with subordinates
As an employee: you will share your approved objectives with your team members for alignment or viewing purposes..
- Step 3: Cascade or set objectives for subordinates
As a manager: you will cascade some of your own objectives to your employees or creating for them new objectives.
- Step 4: Transfer objective setting process to employees
As a manager: you will transfer the objective setting process to your employees do they start their own process.
- Step 5: Approve employee’s objectives and finish objective setting process for employees
As a manager: you will finalize your employees objectives by reviewing and approving them then transferring them back to the employees in order to enable them to share their objectives.
