Lesson 1: Year-end appraisal Process

The Year-end appraisal as explained in module 1 is the third stage in the performance management cycle.

  • Step 1: Start year-end appraisal

    By the end of the year, the Performance Management Administrator will send a communication to initiate the Year End Appraisal stage indicating the timeframe in which Managers and Employees need to finalize their Year End Assessment within.

  • Step 2: Self appraisal

    Employees conduct a self assessment against the objectives/ targets that were set at the beginning of the year and against the required competencies for their job.

  • Step 3: Share with appraiser

    Employees send their self assessment to their immediate line managers who then review, update and approve the rating score.
